When you use ReadSmart (the website or Chrome extension) to analyze a URL, that URL is sent to our server and the text content of the page is fetched and analyzed. The URL and analysis results are stored in our database to support the service. Your IP address is received by our server as a standard part of any web request.
We do not collect your name, email address, passwords, location, browsing history, or any other personal information.
URLs and analysis results are stored solely to provide the ReadSmart service — analyzing web content for credibility, bias, and accuracy. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the service.
Page content is analyzed using the OpenAI API. URLs you submit are processed by OpenAI's servers in accordance with OpenAI's privacy policy. We do not sell or transfer your data to any other third parties.
Analysis results are stored in our database for as long as the service is operational. You may contact us to request deletion of any data associated with a URL you submitted.
